Great Read - Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose by the Late Former Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh
RIP to Tony Hsieh, Author and founder of online shoe retailer
Zappos who recently passed from injuries he sustained in a house fire on Nov. 18th
2020. This book is amazing!
I read it at a time I had failed in a few business adventures and my career was just at an all-time low. I enjoyed reading his journey to finally
finding success in Zappos, defining one of the biggest mistakes he made in his prior
start-ups as hiring talent through the normal HR process for skills, rather than
a culture fit. Makes sense to me!
In the book he states: “I think when
people say they dread going into work on Monday morning, it’s because they know
they are leaving a piece of themselves at home. Why not see what happens when
you challenge your employees to bring all of their talents to their job and
reward them not for doing it just like everyone else, but for pushing the
envelope, being adventurous, creative, and open-minded, and trying new things?”
I mean... a company with growth potential, an Employee life Coach onsite, Health screenings onsite, a nap room😇, employee library, dry cleaning services and even waxing services what’s not to like, lol😁
A great read for Startup enthusiasts…. Highly recommended! Available for purchase in book stores and online.

OMG a nap room like really, lol.. I take long naps though so not sure if this will be good for me😏
