Modern Artist Feature - Bill Durgin

One of my fav artists, Bill Durgin, is a photographer who express’s his art through featuring the human body.  His work is special because he captures the anatomy and it’s limitations from a fresh angle, resulting in pictures that are stunning, yet disturbing to others.

Looking at his work challenges our perceptions of reality. It almost looks impossible because of the unusual situations and surreal positions he presents through his models. Manipulating the human body to look sculptural is a talent on its own.  You find yourself asking ‘Is it human?’ Is it real or fictional?

This is from his latest series ‘Memory Black’ which he describes as ‘memory foam and black fluid.’  Keep an open mind and enjoy:-)
