The effects of words spoken.. My Daily Struggle

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit – Proverbs 18:21  (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

SIGH.... My daily battle... speaking positive words into my life.  I try to be ‘realistic’ about situations in my life and with everyday challenges, exercising this has been a little difficult but beneficial to me.

Think of the saying “You are what you eat” which in essence relates to the power of the tongue. If you eat junk food all day  then your body would most likely be unhealthy. As stated in the bible, if you speak negative words about yourself, your circumstances and others, you will have the tendency of living an unhealthy, frustrated life.

Speaking positive doesn’t mean you must put a blind eye to the difficult situations you may be facing.  It just means by 'faith' you are believing and trusting God for better.  Be also very careful not to accept negative labels from others such as: “you are a loser”, “you're worthless”, “you’re stupid!”, “nobody will ever love you” etc.

Don’t allow the hatred of others to dictate your life for the worse.  Accept God’s labels for you, such as: “you are beautiful, “you are worthy', “God will supply all your needs” (Philippians 4:19), “God loves you and accepts you” (1 Thessalonians 1:4).
So today start this journey with me by speaking positively into the universe so we can  bring beautiful things into our lives and be at peace.  It may take some practice, because bad habits die hard, but it’s so worth it. (The Praying Woman)
