FIT's 'The Future Of Fashion' Runway Show 2014

A proud alumni of The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) myself, I was more than thrilled to attend this event last Thursday 5/1.  The runway show featured 85 looks by FIT's graduating design students with input from notable industry critics such as Rebecca Minkoff, Lisa Di Napoli , Mathieu Mirano and more.  The show was presented by alumni Calvin Klein and hosted by British "It" girl Alexa Chung. The front row was packed with designers and industry leaders from Francisco Costa, Rebecca Minkoff, and Anya Ziourova.

These students gave me the ‘WOW’ factor all through the show.  They were up on trends from hand knits, 3-D printing, crops, luxe fur, boxy sweatshirts etc.  What was even more refreshing is they added there little ‘umph’ to these trends.  The show wrapped up with a Kiddie collection:-) These are some of my fav’s.
