Dr. Kent Brantly landed in Marietta, Georgia, just outside Atlanta, on Saturday morning after being evacuated from West Africa, where he contracted the Ebola virus while working at a clinic in Liberia. News helicopter footage appears to show Brantly - whose condition is listed as stable - walking into a containment facility at Emory University Hospital, where he will receive treatment. A second patient, aid worker Nancy Writebol, is expected to arrive at the same facility on Monday. Ebola is a severe acute viral illness with a fatality rate of up to 90 percent that is transmitted through close contact with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of those who are infected. - Mailonline
Wishing him and others infected with Ebola a speedy recovery and I hope a cure or solution to this disaster is implemented ASAP.
