STREET ART - ‘CEMENT ECLIPSES’

Artist Isaac Cordal’s 'Cement Eclipses' project started in 2006, with an aim to critique society and social inequalities by placing expressive human figures in odd circumstances around the urban environment.  The small pieces (approximately 25 cm high) are made of cement, of which copies are reproduced using silicone moulds.   The figures represent critical and ironic scenes of our daily routine: a purchase, a phone call, a long wait, our disengagement ecological, etc.
‘Cement Eclipses is a critique of our behavior as a social mass,’ said Cordal in an interview with The Rooms Magazine.  "Even though my sculptures appear pessimistic, I am optimistic and I believe in change in today’s social reality," he explains...
Take a look at some of his creations below, a great artist indeed.
