Ann Demeulemeester Fall 2015 - Ready-To-Wear #PFW

Belgian born Designer, Ann Demeulemeester was introduced to the international fashion scene in London in 1986, as part of the group that later became known as the Antwerp Six.  Although they found immediate fame with their experimental style, Demeulemeester carved her own niche influenced by punk, gothic & Japanese styles, close attention to detail and the use of cutting-edge techniques and materials.   Her first collection was shown in a Parisian art gallery with a makeshift runway in 1992. In 1996, she debuted her own menswear line.
Last year, she shocked everyone when she announced that she was parting ways with the label she founded.  “Ann Demeulemeester is an adult brand now with its own identity and legacy that is able to continue growing without me,” she said.   Sebastien Meunier was named the new Creative Director and he is doing an amazing job maintaining the aesthetic of the brand.  This is clearly eminent in his Fall 15 collection, check out my favs.
