BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Party for Winner Designer MARY KATRANTZOU (British Fashion Council)

Designer MARY KATRANTZOU known for her distinct prints was announced the winner of the 5th BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Prize last night, at a cocktail party hosted by Vogue's Alexandra Shulman and British Fashion Council chairman Natalie Massenet at London's CafĂ© Royal Hotel.  The Fund was launched by BFC Chairman Harold Tillman (English retail entrepreneur and investor) in 2008 as part of the BFC’s 25th anniversary celebrations and is supported by fashion brands such as Burberry, Debenhams, Harrods, Paul Smith, Topshop and Vogue.  The  lucky winner gets £200,000 and access to high level mentoring.  The aim of The Fund is to assist talented British designers with the potential for commercial growth to make the transition to a global fashion brand.  Since its inception, winners of The Fund include Erdem (2010), Christopher Kane (2011), Jonathan Saunders (2012), Nicholas Kirkwood (2013) & Peter Pilotto (2014).
