Comme des Garçons, french for "Like Boys"is a Japanese fashion label headed by Rei Kawakubo and her husband establised in 1969. The label featured it's first Paris show in 1981 and throughout the years has established a reputation for its predominant use of black and distressed fabrics with often a destroyed look. They do both Mens & Womenswear. This collection is very 'theatrical', She called the show “Ceremony of Separation”; the words evoking distance, loss, perhaps death, but also possibly the hopefulness found in moving on.
