Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel Métiers d’Art Show in New York

Creative Director of Chanel Karl Lagerfeld, was at the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York last night restaging the Métiers d’Art collection he previously showed in Salzburg, Austria, early last December.  FYI, 'Métiers d’Art' is an annual event by Chanel, honoring the fine craftsmanship its Artisan partners all over the world bring to the Chanel collections. The runway show takes place outside the traditional fashion schedule each year.  A location is selected to pay tribute to the workshops that provide the house with everything from fine lace to silver buttons and exclusive embroidery work.  The event has been held in cities such as Byzance, Bombay, Edinburgh, Dallas, Salzburg, and now New York.  According to Lagerfeld via Style.com "He compared the production and the Chanel apparatus behind it to “stock theater” or the “Ziegfeld Follies.”  Whatever that means:-)  The show takes us through different era's from Victorian, to Folkish looks & the classic Chanel Tweeds. Great Show & presentation!  These are my fav's.
