A&E Documents the ‘Streets of Compton’ in New Mini-Series featuring The Game

Located in Southern Los Angeles, Compton, Calif. is one of those mythic cities with a reputation for danger, boasting A-list celebs who 'made it out' successfully such as The Game, Ice Cube, Tennis pros Venus and Serena Williams, Kendrick Lamar etc.  With the recent hit movie 'Straight Outta Compton,' a movie highlighting the lives of famous controversial rap group in the 80's N.W.A, Compton has long been seen as a scary no-man's land -- a perception that's not totally unjustified.
A&E's 3-hour documentary mini-series, tells the true story of the the city revealing how a city overrun by gang and drugs became a cultural powerhouse.  Superstar rapper, The Game, brings us unprecedented access to the streets of his hometown, documenting 'Ghettofication,' the rise of gangs and the rise of gangsta rap.
