Actress Jennifer Aniston wrote this touching article 'For The Record' for Huffington Post's July 12th, Blog, and society really needs to take heed to what she is saying. Some may argue that being a celebrity comes with the paparazzi allure, however we as women need to STOP with the body shaming, marital & maternal standards and focus on empowering each other, helping each other, focusing on positivity rather than bringing each other down. I can definitely identify with her points as an unmarried woman with no kids, I get more questions, negativity, and sympathy from women and I am not even middle aged... that says a lot about our society.
We need to STOP! We only have a handful of female leaders in the world in this day and age. Women are still being molested, raped with no justice, sold as sex slaves, and remain uneducated all over the world. We are still striving for equal salary with our male counterparts in some careers. We can all make a change if we focus on whats important. You are either too fat, too skinny, not tall enough, boobs too small, or too big, if you are married, when are u having kids, if you do not want kids, it's drama... I can go on & on...
See article below, very touching from a woman, forget about her celeb status and take heed to what she is saying. "The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing." "How much we define a woman’s value based on her marital and maternal status, the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children." - Aniston Says.
