DURO OLOWU - SPRING 2017 RTW - #LFWSS17

Nigerian-Brit Designer Duro Oluwo started his namesake label in 2004, highlighting african prints, an unexpected mix of fabrics, textures, with fab draping techniques.  He got his break in 2005 when his high-waisted patchwork boho dress dubbed the 'Duro' was discovered by American Vogue editor Sally Singer and Julie Gilhart of Barneys.  The designer desccirbes his mix of patterns as, " It’s not a trend. It’s an art — an unexpected mix based on the fact that prints can come from such diverse places."  Check out my fav's from the Spring 17 RTW collection and shop the label here.

Luv!
