Fav's - CHANEL's Pre Fall 2021 “M’étiers D’Art” Show

The late Karl Lagerfeld’s protégé Virginie Viard, the talent behind Chanel’s new chapter showcased the Pre-Fall 2021 show dubbed "M’étiers D’Art (means Master of Arts), held at the historic Château de Chenonceau in the picturesque Loire Valley in France.

It has been a tradition for the fashion house since the early 2,000's to unveil a collection every December dedicated to the “M’étiers D’Art” of the house i.e. celebrating the skills, the creative process between the Creative Director and the Ateliers (a workshop of highly skilled specialists - embroiderers, milliners, Pattern makers, engravers  etc. used by a haute couture fashion designer (haute couture means high fashion, one of a kind clothing. Per BOF To qualify as an official Haute Couture house, members must design made-to-order clothes for private clients, with more than one fitting, using an atelier (workshop) that employs at least fifteen fulltime staff..).

As the saying goes 'it takes a village..', all these skilled professionals are needed to present the genius of the brand.  The below are my Fav's from the collection..  May I also add the Château de Chenonceau is also now on my bucket list once this pandemic is done God willing. Rich in history in one of the most beautiful places in France😇.
