Another hit for New Balance blending performance and culture, this time
teaming up with Portland’s own Aminé (Adam Aminé Daniel), a
Grammy-nominated artist known for his playful, genre-bending style. The result
is the ABZORB 2000 “Biblioteca”, a bold reimagining of the early 2000's
runner. Dressed in a glossy acid green with glow-in-the-dark accents, it’s
equal parts statement piece and high-performance sneaker, thanks to New
Balance’s signature comfort tech.
Each pair comes in library-themed
packaging, complete with custom graphics and a faux library card, a nod to
Aminé’s personal ties to his hometown libraries. Additionally, as posted on Amine's official Instagram, in lieu of the
sneaker release, he is using this opportunity to give back through a
community book drive at Portland’s North Portland Branch Library, encouraging
fans to donate books in exchange for a chance to win a pair of the
‘Biblioteca.’ If you are in the Portland, Oregon area, located at 207 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, and Tag him on Instagram in a story/post of your proof of donation for a free pair of these new kicks! Donations will be open till September 10th.
Sneaker Release Date is October 3rd, 2025, sold exclusively at Club Banana, retail $170. Luv em and would totally rock. Check out the glow in the dark feature!
