MFW - Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2026 RTW: Louise Trotter’s Quietly Powerful Debut

Bottega Veneta has always been about quiet luxury, no flashy logos, just impeccable craftsmanship. Founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy, the house built its reputation on its signature Intrecciato woven leather (the craftsmanship of weaving leather strips), and its understated approach to luxury fashion. It’s the brand you wear when you want to be noticed for your elegance, style and NOT your labels.

Spring/Summer 2026 marked a new era for Bottega Veneta as Louise Trotter took the reins as Creative Director. Trotter, known for her work at Lacoste and Joseph, is celebrated for her ability to merge heritage with modern minimalism. Her debut in Milan didn’t disappoint.

The collection was a love letter to the house’s artisanal roots, think sculptural leather dresses, soft tailoring, airy fringe, and reimagined classics like the Lauren and Cabat bags. Even the shoes, including knotted sling backs, felt like wearable art. Trotter’s approach was less about making a loud statement and more about redefining what modern, effortless luxury looks like for today’s woman. This was a collection that felt versatile, elevated, and completely in step with the quiet-luxury movement.  Check out my fav's, 76 pcs, the accessories!👌
