MFW - Tokyo James Spring/Summer 2026 RTW: Redefining Modern Luxury

Tokyo James, the Nigerian-British designer behind his namesake label, has been redefining the boundaries of menswear since 2015. Drawing from his background in fashion styling and designing, James launched his brand in Lagos, Nigeria, to challenge stereotypical notions of African design and masculinity. His creations merge Savile Row tailoring with traditional African techniques, resulting in gender-fluid silhouettes that speak to the complexity of individual identity.

At Milan Fashion Week S/S 2026 RTW, he presented a collection that embodied the theme of 'chaos', a deliberate exploration of contrasts and complexities. The collection showcased pieces that contrasted structured tailoring with fluid forms, and traditional craftsmanship with avant-garde elements. Key pieces included intricately woven leather jackets, asymmetric silhouettes, and garments adorned with bold embellishments, all rendered in a palette that balanced bold hues with neutral tones. The collection's narrative was one of transformation and resilience, reflecting James's vision of fashion as a medium for storytelling and cultural expression.  31 looks, these are my fav's.
