Chanel Spring/Summer 2026 RTW: A Fresh Spin on Tweed and Timeless Glamour | Paris Fashion Week

For Spring 2026, Matthieu Blazy made his much-anticipated debut at Chanel, ushering in a new era for the storied French house. His vision, younger, fresher, and undeniably modern. The collection reimagined Chanel’s signature classics, particularly the tweed suit through relaxed, sensual silhouettes that felt effortlessly cool while staying true to the brand’s refined DNA. The mood was confident and liberated. Tweed jackets slipped off the shoulder, skirts grazed the knee with subtle flair, and sheer blouses hinted at a sexier side of Chanel we haven’t seen in years. Blazy played with texture and proportion, softening the structure without losing precision.

Accessories marked a bold departure from the usual demure Chanel touch with chunky statement jewelry, reworked classics, and shoes with a playful edge that felt both fresh and collectable. Even the lineup reflected this new energy, with runway icon Alek Wek making a stunning appearance that bridged the house’s legacy and its bold new chapter.

Founded by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in 1910, the house revolutionized women’s fashion with ease, practicality, and timeless chic. Decades later, the iconic Karl Lagerfeld transformed Chanel into a global symbol of luxury and reinvention. Now, with Blazy at the helm, Chanel steps into a new era, youthful, confident, and full of movement. Before joining Chanel, Matthieu Blazy built an impressive résumé across some of fashion’s most influential houses. A graduate of La Cambre in Brussels, he began his career with Raf Simons, later working at Maison Margiela, Céline under Phoebe Philo, and Calvin Klein. In 2020, he joined Bottega Veneta, where he became Creative Director in 2021 and earned acclaim for his modern craftsmanship and quiet luxury aesthetic experience that now shapes his fresh vision for Chanel.

Spring 2026 felt like the start of something exciting, still Chanel, but ready for the next generation. The collection featured 77 looks, these are my fav's.
