Berlin Fashion Week Fall 2026 runs from January 30 to
February 2, 2026, transforming Germany’s capital into a thriving hotspot
for sustainable innovation (this is actually a requirement to be able to show), culture, and style. Founded in 2007, BFW
happens twice a year (Fall and Spring/Summer) and serves as a platform
for sustainability, inclusion, innovation, and talent promotion. Its
focus on responsible, forward-thinking design has helped position Berlin
as a global leader in sustainable fashion.
Lou de Bètoly, Berlin-based French
designer, delivered her avant-garde, crafty couture collection, blending
sustainability, vintage textiles, and inventive artistry. Her namesake label founded in 2017, emphasizes upcycling and intricate handcraft techniques,
creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. In an article with BFW about her label, she says, 'The focus on craftsmanship is a vital
part of contemporary creation. It’s more than just making garments, it’s
about preserving techniques, honoring the handmade, and showing that craft
still has a place in the future of fashion.'
For Fall 2026, her designs fused nostalgia with modernity,
transforming upcycled and vintage fabrics into couture pieces. Think lingerie-inspired punk/rock silhouettes, sculptural crochet, tweeds… She experimented with recycled
wool, old leather, and nylon, a perfect reminder that Berlin Fashion Week is where innovation, craft, and daring creativity collide. 37 looks,
these are my favs.
