Jonathan Anderson is the sole Creative Director of
womenswear, menswear, and haute couture at Dior, while also running his
namesake label, JW Anderson. He must be very busy managing two successful brands! One is playful and boundary-pushing; the other is polished, heritage-driven luxury. JW Anderson is where he experiments and Dior is
where he refines. The
Brit designer spent over 10 years as Creative Director at Loewe before
taking over Dior in May 2025.
The show was presented at the beautiful Musée Nissim de Camondo in Paris. Collection had some standout
moments with a few treated leather metallic pieces, sheer/chiffon Blazers layered with woven pieces, distressed fabrics,
and elevated chunky cable-knit cardigans, adding an 'umph' to the presentation. There were also relaxed double-breasted suits, lots of layering and accents such as bow ties, long standout
wool scarves, and fringed pieces. Trench coat silhouettes done in lighter fabrics, giving them the classic look of a trench without the heavy, stiff feel of traditional gabardine. Keep an eye on the accessories as usual, especially the handbags.
Gender-fluid accessories continue to gain momentum, and the shoes looked fab. 66 pieces, these are my fav's.
