PFW Men's - SAINT LAUTENT Spring-Summer 2027: A Runway in the Clouds

Anthony Vaccarello is another Creative Director overseeing the entirety of the brand's creative output for both the men's and women's collections at Saint Laurent, since he took over in April 2016, I remember one of his first moves upon assignment was hitting the reset button on the brand's Instagram feed😌. It wasn't exactly met with universal applause, lol, but it signaled the beginning of a new chapter and a fresh creative direction for the house. And so far, so good!

The show was held at the esteemed Bourse de Commerce museum in Paris. The dreamy, fog-filled atmosphere wasn't just for the runway, it is actually part of the 'Clair-obscur' exhibition, dubbed Cloud#07156, a Fog Sculpture by Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya. Visitors literally appear and disappear through the mist, blurring the lines between art, architecture, and nature. Pretty cool, you should check out if in Paris!

Stoic, lean models emerging through the fog definitely added to the atmosphere. It felt mysterious, moody, and added a lil drama. What immediately caught my attention were the precious stone embellishments throughout the collection, used with belts, buttons on sophisticated, flowy single-breasted suits. High-waisted pleated trousers added to the relaxed tailoring that has become a Vaccarello signature

The transparent elongated, pointed-snout shoes were a big standout. It was apparently one of the hottest days in Paris, so those poor models, lol😉. Frameless sunglasses were also worth noting as well as a less focus on handbags compared to other brands this season, the spotlight remained firmly on the clothing. Overall, another well-executed collection, effortless, polished, 41 looks, these are my fav's.

Ouch! 😉
